Title: Alexanders, Scotland
Post by: DanielSC20 on Thursday 26 June 25 18:32 BST (UK)
I don't have this actual picture in my possession unfortunately, but wondering if the folks on here could help with possibly narrowing down a date for this picture and identifying the clothing. Probably taken in Tarbolton, Ayrshire to be more specific.

Having spoken with a cousin it looks like they're in their Sunday best, apart from the breeches on the lad in the middle - that and what the woman at the right is holding (which I thought was a crop, but maybe not?) made me and another relative think it was maybe not a family picture and instead something horse riding related, but maybe not.

With regard to identifying who's in the photo, all I know is that to the far left is a relative born in 1898, to the far right is possibly a relative born in 1881 but that isn't confirmed.

If any more info is required please do let me know, any help is appreciated.

Daniel

I think this is mid to late war years, but wait for one of the experts.

Agree with Peter, late war is the starting date & into the v. early 20's.

Apologies for a late response, have been travelling, but thank you both. That does seem about right and is what we think too.
