Louisa Augusta Harvey was born in 1859 in Marylebone d/o Charles Harvey (licensed victualler) and his wife Elizabeth nee Norris.
On 19 Aug 1880 she married Herbert Holloway (b 1852, Burley Hants) son of John Toomer Holloway (surveyor) at St Mary, Lambeth. I can't find any children for the couple and I can't find them in 1881. In 1891 Louisa (recorded as married) is a visitor in the household of William Kedge, his wife Caroline and family. Although listed as visitor, Caroline Kedge is her sister, having married William Kedge in 1884. I can't find Herbert in 1891. And I can't find what happened to either of them later. Can anyone locate them please?

A remarriage for Louisa in March qtr 1899 under both surnames Holloway and Harvey - Lambeth RD
Louisa Augusta Holloway married one of these people
Herbert Walter Savigear, Benjamin Alipore Griffin

Thank you very much - that looks like them both, but did they divorce or both remarry bigamously. If Herbert deserted her and went to America and she heard no more from him. Could she legally remarry after 7 years?

It looks like she married Benjamin Griffin. There's an entry in the Probate Index for Louisa Augusta Griffin, died 1946 , probate to Sydney William Kedge

The index when Louisa remarried shows both her maiden surname and Holloway so it looks as though she was being honest :)

I would think Herbert deserted her there is a few immigration records for a Herbert Holloway some of the images are hard to read .I think he left for New York about 1883

Seems somewhat close to this birth? https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J71Z-8VR?lang=en
One mentioned him having 2 brothers who still live in the family home.

Thank you. It certainly looks as if the Herbert in Montana was my Herbert (born about the right time. Lyndhurst is close to Burley) My Herbert's mother was Mary Elizabeth Derham but may have been known as Elizabeth (as on baptism record). Obit says he came to US in 1880, my Herbert married in London on 19 Aug 1880, so if the same one must have left his wife very soon after marriage. Obit also says he has two brothers left in Lyndhurst. He actually had three brothers all younger, I presume one must have pre-deceased Herbert. Unless one also emigrated and is the father of the two nephews mentioned. (Or they could be nephews in law and be descended from a sibling of his second wife.) My Herbert was a surveyor, quite a change to study to be a vet! I had seen some passenger list for Herbert the vet but discounted them because of the occupation.
I hope his three brothers aren't as complicated. I have a DNA match who must be descended from Herbert or one of his brothers (judging from shared matches)
