Hello everyone,
I’m seeking help locating a UK incoming passenger list entry for the following individuals who are believed to have arrived in Britain around 1956, possibly aboard the ship (possibly)
Colombie:
Alford St Louis
(Possible name variations: Alfred / Alf / Alferd / St-Louis / Saint Louis / St Luis)
Muriel St Louis
(Possible variations: Muriell / Meriel / Murial)
They likely travelled from the Caribbean, possibly Dominica, St Lucia, or Trinidad, and may have arrived at London, Southampton, or Liverpool.
I’m especially looking to confirm:
Their arrival information (including ship name if different)
Their listed address or UK destination
Occupations, ages, and any family members listed
If anyone has access to Ancestry.co.uk, FindMyPast, or another resource and can help with a lookup using flexible name spellings and ports, I’d be very grateful.
Thanks so much for your help and time!
Best regards,
-
From Ancestry, so we know he was resident at that date which may confirm arrival 1956.
Name Alford St. Louis
Residence Date 1957
Residence Street Address 10 Campden Hill Gardens
Residence Borough Kensington and Chelsea
Residence Place London, England
1971 Elec Roll Southwark Alford, Muriel and Linda
Possible deaths Muriel St Louis London 3 Sept 2016. Alford (transcribed as Oliver) d 17 Oct 2017 age 79, dob given as 7 MArch 1938.
There is also a passenger list for 1958 For Alford St Louis, labourer, from Jamaica age 18 born 1940 per Ascania. Perhaps this doesn't fit with living in Chelsea as above?

Thank you so much for kindly looking up my grandfather's details. I really appreciate it. Which record set did you locate his residence in 1957? I know that ships that stopped in Europe before arriving in Britain were not recorded; I wonder if this is why the records seem to be missing?
Thank you again.
