Title: Burials at St Omer Pas de Calais - which church?
Post by: goldie61 on Sunday 15 June 25 06:16 BST (UK)
I have 2 burials from MyHeritage at St Omer Pas de Calais.

Claude Philippe Bertolle was buried 13.7.1787, and his wife Anne Geraudot was buried 4.1.1789.
You can see the actual images on MyHeritage, so I have all the information about their burials.
However, I cannot see anywhere on the information given on MyHeritage which church these were at.
It just says from ‘pas de Calais Archives’.
I even went into the link given at the bottom for Filae, but it just days the same thing.

There are at least 7 churches in St Omer at which this burials could be.
I’ve looked at familysearch for the films, but they have still not digitised French films it seems.

The reference number given on MyHeritage seems to bear no resemblence to any of films on familysearch, or to reference numbers for the films on the Pas de Calais archives en ligne.
MyHeritage ref: RP62765-1787-D-001389-0000004594

Any ides of any way to find out which church these burials were at without ploughing through 8 films these burials could be in on the Pas de Calais site?
For some reason these images always take a very long time to download on my computer - not like images from MyHeritage or familysearch which are instantaneous. (This computer is only a year old, so I don’t think it’s because it can’t cope).

Thanks for any help

I think you can eliminate Sainte Marguerite according to the index here :

I haven't looked for a lot of variants.

I've spent some hours this morning, and found them.
Of course it was the sixth film out of the seven where I finally found them!
I started with the biggest - the cathedral St Sepulcure; then St Denis; St Jean Baptiste etc, and they were eventually in the St Aldegonde register.
Unfortunately a casualty of the revolution, it no longer exsists evidently.
