Good Afternoon everyone,
I am hoping someone would be able to help me find my Great x3 Grandfathers birth/Baptism record, his name was Charles Devine, and he was born to Charles Devine & Jane Smillie, I have both his death and marriage record, but his birth/baptism records illudes me, I have Census records from 1881 to 1901 all of which are based in Greenock, his place of birth is listed as Maybole in Ayrshire, I have also found his parents marriage record in 1849, also in Maybole , from the 1881-1901 census his age is listed as 29, 38, and 48, giving me a time period of around 1850-1855.
Kind regards,
Jake

Hello :)
Thank you very much for the reply, I have looked as much as I can on ScotlandsPeople, which is where I found all the other information, and tried a few variable spellings, but I am yet to find him.
Kind regards,
Jake

Doesn't directly help, but FamilySearch has a record for the death in 1859 of Jane Devine aged 1, daughter of Charles Devine and Jane Smillie; she died in Glasgow.

There is a Charles transcribed as Desane ??? On Ancestry he was born about 1853 Ayrshire
1861 Census they are boarding with a family 78,Old Vennell Glasgow
Could be a possibility if Charles Devine senior's occupation was shoemaker
The parents are down as Devine

According to the census, Charles Devine senior was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth.
I think Elizabeth’s maiden name was McKIE (some children have baptism records)
