Hi,
I have never been able to find my great grandfather (Francis Coe Bussey 1888-1967) on the 1891 census (I have him on all other ones), but him and his family are missing in 1891. Also, his mother and sibling are missing from the 1901 census. I was wondering if anyone could help me find them.
In 1901 they were at 24 Stanley Road in Prittlewell, Rochford, Essex (in this one his mother Amelia Ormsby Bussey (1851-1921) nee Powell and his little sister Lilian Edith Bussey (1895) are missing)
In 1911 they were at 258 High Road, Tottenham.
Thank you for any help! :)
Added: I'm also struggling to find many of his siblings' birth records. Only 2 come up with ''Bussey'' mmn ''Powell'' - only Amelia (1874) and Lilian (1895) show up. Francis Coe Bussey has no maiden name on his birth record. On the 1911 census it says they had 14 children and 12 surviving.

Thank you so much, that is really helpful!!
Any suggestions as to why they may have chosen to use Amelia's middle name as their surname for that particular census? ???

Thank you very much! :)
Sorry to ask another question, but I'm also struggling to find Henry Bussey (Francis' Father) in the 1871 census. It is a year before his marriage and he is also not living with his family.
In 1861 he is - at Malt House Yard, Lynn Road, Snettisham, Norfolk
In 1881 he is - at 11 Queens Place, Hampstead
He could be under 'Alfred Henry Bussey' as he is in a later census, but I haven't seen any other records calling him Alfred so not sure if this is his actual name or not...
Thank you for any help

Might be a long shot but on Ancestry there's a "Henery Bugger" aged 22 b Snettisham in Clapham - assistant to a pawn broker

Hmm, it definitely looks like a double g and not a double s, but I can't see a 'Henry Bugger' anywhere else born in 1849 in Snettisham. Also, his son was an assistant pawn broker at some point aswell... so maybe it is him?
Thank you - this is the most likely option so far. :)
