This is a group of WW1 soldiers. One of them is Ernest Rowles, but which one.
Is it possible to enhance the picture so the cap badges are more clear.
Ernest served with the Bedford Regiment and the Welch Regiment.
I know this is a tall order but any assistance would be much appreciated.

I think it is Welsh Regiment badge, but I will leave it to experts here

Only 2 of these men are wearing British uniforms & they are centre front.

I suspect this is just post war by the medal ribbons- possible 1919 Russia? One is a Sgt and the other an RSM. Appear to be infantry but the title and badges are too blurred.
-
I though the RSM was RFA.

Thanks for all your help. I was sent this picture along with a single picture and told this man was Ernest Rowles who I have researched and this is what i have so far:

This is the supposed picture of Ernest Rowles. His rapid promotion doesn't seem right does it?
And who are these other men in a foreign uniform and qwhere are they.

If he never went above the rank of Pte. he can't be any of the above.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this item.
I think it is now time to draw a line under it.
