I have a rather odd pair of births registered in Wandsworth: Thora Winchcombe 1910 1d 586. AND Wandsworth 1911 1d 579. But also a Thora Bishonden born 1911 Wandsworth 1d 579.
They all seem to be the same person, but the GRO site does not have all of these registrations: there is no female Bishonden birth recorded at this time.
I also have a certificate for the marriage of Thora Winchcombe with father Thomas Charles Winchcombe in 1933 to a Williams.
Why has the GRO site not indexed all the entries? however odd they may appear.

The GRO take their index from a different source to freebmd so they may be treated differently on there

The GRO only indexes the child's surname, which by default is the father's surname if he is named or the mother's current surname if no father is named. The maiden surname is only indexed if there is any surname on the certificate prefixed by the word 'formerly'. The old indexes that FreeBMD use tended to index all surnames mentioned on the registration.

There will not be 3 certificates here. There will be a max of two, and possibly just one with the second being a correction or alternation to the other. So technically, they have indexed all the records.
It looks like on GRO that the 1910 is tagged as an occasional copy which usually means there was some sort of formal alteration or correction made. You could get a digital copy for 3 quid which would help unravel exactly what was going on.

Thanks Jorose, this is the first Occasional Copy: B that I have seen. I have seen an 'A' before.
At what date do the cheaper electronic copies become available, rather than the more expensive PDF?

It should show on the GRO index when digital copy is available.
Looking close, I see that the 1910 entry, "occasional entry B" isn't available digitally for some reason. Perhaps because this was the original entry and the 1911 is the correction to it? I honestly don't know why copy "B" instead of "A" (two corrections?)
