Title: Stepney Address Help.

I am trying to get the address of Edward Vail on the 1861 census (https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/8767/images/MDXRG9_295_298-1213?usePUB=true&usePUBJs=true&showinfopanel=true&pId=5931863&treeid=186056471&personid=152433226443&hintid=1025289014896).

I think it is 2c Spring Garrett Mile ????

Well, that took some finding. Not to be confused with a later Spring Field Gardens in Poplar!

Here it is on the 1870 Town Plan running north off Mile End Road.

The same map overlaid on a modern map. Spring Gardens Place now aligns with Stayner's Road, which it used to lead into. (Slide the slider to reveal modern map.)

Does appear that their home would have been pretty much where the Travelodge is now.
