This is from Liberton Kirk Session Feb 1779.
The writing is clear but the name of the place the couple are "both in" partly disappears into the gutter between pages. It looks like Cl__amin. Can anyone suggest where it could be, please?

I think the place is Cleekhimin as shown on the attached 1757 map by John Laurie (https://maps.nls.uk/view/216390007 (https://maps.nls.uk/view/216390007)).
Contrary to current convention of North being to the top edge of a map, this map is the reverse with North being at the lower edge.
Keeping in mind this convention, Cleekhimin is located 2 miles to the North of Liberton Kirk, and 3 miles to the East and lies just to the East of the Niddery Burn marked on the map.

I should have mentioned that the distances were (inaccurately measured by me) based on the scale shown on the map, and should have been approx 1.25mls. North, and 2mls.East. Apologies.

Thank you, Istrice. I can see it on the map, and I'm sure that is the right place.
