Hello,
I have a photo of a relative and am trying to date it. It would be somewhere between 1975 and 1980. I would guess it’s most probably 1977-8. The newspaper he is holding is the Daily Mail, and the headline reads ‘Girl Saved on Killer Peak’. I’ve tried the British Newspaper Archive and Google Books, but not turned up anything. Could anyone please help me?
Best wishes,
Adam

It’s Saturday April 14th 1979.
It would probably be unwise of me to post an image to prove it, but to the side of the headline article there is a photo of a dark haired woman with long hair in a middle parting who is in fact an actress (Kate Jackson) from Charlies Angels, the photo has the caption above “Angel’s farewell” which perhaps you can make out?

I was just about to post an image from a different newspaper at BNA when I realised that the girl who was saved (her father died) may well be alive. It sounds as if you may have BNA access so here is a link instead.

Yes, that’s the one. Thanks very much indeed.
