Hope someone may be able to help with my query.
If anyone has access to any local papers that may have a death notice/obituary for William Alexander Ray I would really appreciate a look up if possible.

A deafening silence — perhaps others have, like me, searched and failed.

I searched BNA with various word combinations and drew a blank.

I then went to FindMyPast and found the death registration. FindMyPast suggested linked records for the 1939 register and some military records, but no newspaper items.

Born 1908 - sister b 1912 brother b 1914

He married Dorothy Daniels 1932 -  one son b 1939 died 1944. 

Dorothy died June 1996 but in Hampshire.  No will but administration granted

Perhaps there was no obit as there may not have been any close family

No probate entry for him
