It's on the back of an old photo I bought yesterday.
The photograph was based on Newsham, near Blyth.
Thanks,
Richard

Menear. This is a common surname in Cornwall.

Cornwall is a long way from Blyth!

Various censuses show quite a few Menear' surnames (and variations) in Newsham. Blyth.

Beautiful photo and woman.
Both times she married older men.

Note that her parents were both born in Cornwall.
It could be that her father (coal miner - hewer) moved from the Cornish mines to the Northimberland coal mines.
Add - birthplace looks like St Austell - most famous for china clay but also tin and copper
-
The photo must date from between her two marriages give the "French" surname on the back.
Thanks everyone, I'm off to create a mini tree for her!

Richard
