I only ask because while I can find people listed on FindMyPast I can't find them on Ancestry.
I don't have access to FindMyPast and when I put in anything relating to Bassingham residents in 1921 on Ancestry it just comes up with zero results.
I would greatly appreciate if someone might tell me either what I am doing wrong or - better still - pm me a link to ANYBODY resident in the village ON THE ANCESTRY site.
Cheers in advance,
:)

I am not getting results for Bassingham on FindMyPast when I select no variance on area :-\
Does Burringham work for you :-\
ADDED I can see quite a few people who are born in Bassingham but transcribed as living in Burringham on F M P

I don't think that is the answer either.
OK found it ;D

I’m confused: Robert Ralph Ash has his birthplace Bassingham, Lincolnshire, but residence is Bassingham, Nottinghamshire. And both A**y and FindMyPast list it as Bassingham, Newark

For a long time Newark RD was a mixture of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Indeed.
Lots of source material quotes "Bassingham: Notts." and/or "Bassingham: Lincs."
