Title: Marriage record question
Post by: Stanwix England on Friday 09 May 25 15:09 BST (UK)
Hi,

I am trying to make sense of this additional comment on a marriage record.

Record is George Kidd and Hannah Gillance, 27th January 1797, North Yorkshire, England.

I think that it says something about ‘Jennings’ because in the line where the witnesses sign, one of the witnesses gives their name as Robert Daggit, but someone has written ‘ought to be Jennings’ next to it.
