Title: Help needed
Post by: Cragside on Thursday 08 May 25 16:12 BST (UK)
I am searching for details of Florence Millie Amelia O’Coburn
Her name appears on her son Reginald Edwin Gray’s birth certificate of 23/2/1923 in Stilton, Peterborough as Florence Millie Amelia Gray late Coleman formerly O’Coburn and shows her age as 26.
I know she married Frederick Gray 4/9/1919 as a spinster in Sandhurst and is shown on 1921 Census with husband Frederick and children living in Peterborough. Her age here is shown as 30 and 7 months.
It shows her as born in Kensington, London. Her Death cert shows DOB as 21/12/1893.
My problem is I can’t find any reference to her with the name O’Coburn.
Help.

"Her name appears on her son Reginald Edwin Gray’s marriage certificate of 23/2/1923 in Stilton,"

Do you mean her son's birth certificate of 23/2/1923 in Stilton. Mothers Maiden Surname O'Coburn

There is a birth in Kensington
Florence Amelia Colman , March quarter 1894 with no mother’s maiden name.

I was thinking Millie is often short for Amelia

The birth certificates are available for £3 each as downloads from the GRO website.  They are just like the one that SS has very kindly purchased for you.   ;D
