As many know, EE is taking over BT services.
Has anyone experienced the conversion and could give me any areas that might create problems.
We have a mix of services (including Sky)
Grateful for any hints - they're coming to swap equipment and setting up on Saturday.

Interesting because our broadband and TV and landline is with Plusnet (a wholly owned subsidiary of BT but operates as a separate brand and business) and we hadn't heard anything. When I looked on Plusnet's website, it states only Plusnet mobile 'phone customers are being switched to EE, Plusnet broadband is staying with Plusnet. In fact Plusnet mobile closed on 31 March so if you had a mobile 'phone contract with BT, you have probably already been switched over.
Also it seems that it is BT who took over EE (finalised on 29 Jan 2016) and now BT have decided that EE is to be their main mobile brand.
I guess you must have some BT services, if not you don't need to switch to EE. I've seen on line just now, people who have never been with BT or EE being told they have to switch to EE but it's not true. See http://www.rootschat.com/links/01trs/

We have BT landline (already converted to Digital Voice and stays BT as will e-mails), internet and some of their tv packages. Also some Sky packages.
This has been built up over the years as the WWW, etc. has gr0wn over the years!
BT internet services are switching to EE as contracts are renewed - apart from e-mails, telephone.

I suppose, Plusnet being a separate brand and business will not change - at least that's what their website suggests.

Maybe.
I would really like to hear from people who have/are doing the same conversion as me.

I've just been reading more on the BT contract/EE transfer.
I gather that we can continue with BT as is but on a monthly deal rather than a contract. I wasn't told about this.
I think, given both of us having various medical probs, we'd rather go to a rolling monthly contract.
I'll phone tomorrow and cancel.

That sounds a good idea. I guess EE is just trying to steamroller people into changing.

BT to EE is largely a rebrand rather than anything else.... the idea was to phase out 'BT' as the name used for consumer services and replace it with 'EE'.
However the executive who championed that project is leaving, and the current CEO has (wisely) decided that the rebrand doesn't make sense. (cf. 'Consignia')
So at some point the customers 'switched' from BT to EE will probably find themselves going 'back' to BT.
As a shareholder I just wish they'd stop rearranging the deckchairs and get on with providing decent services.

Thank you for the explanation.

Thanks for that, Nick.
That explains what I was told when I phoned yesterday. He explained that I would probably be remaining on BT!!
