Hi everyone. I'm really stuck doing my husbands tree and need some help. I have a Thomas John Williams, born about 1853 in Breage. His marriage certificate just has a line under Fathers name so I assume this means he didn't know one. I've found a baptism in 1854 to a Jane Williams but...
1. I don't know how to confirm this is him as there are more than one Thomas Johns!
2. If this is him, how do I find anything about Jane?
Thanks in advance for any help

When and who did he marry and what census do you have him on, please give ref for census to save time looking for.

He married Elizabeth Susan Williams in 1877. I can't find him on any census before he's married, this is the earliest one I have https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/7572/images/CONRG11_2323_2323-0051?pId=2052947

Who are the witnesses on the marriage cert? They might be related. Is there an address on the cert?
There are 2 more baptisms the following year in Breage to an unmarried Jane Williams - 13 July 1855 Louisa & James Henry. There's a birth reg for James Henry with no mother's maiden name indicating he was also illegitimate, but not one for Louisa so she may be older. Mother's address Union House as it is on Thomas John's baptism.

Posting this as a possible for 1871 census. Thomas in all latter years was a mason.

The Witnesses don't have any familiarity to them.
He was living in Helston at the time of marriage.
I can't find any of the children Jane had on the 1861 or 1871 census

Might this be Jane & James in 1861 in Sithney? he does seem a lot younger than his "siblings"
Edward Williams 30 Head
Jane Williams 32 Sister, unmarried, housekeeper
Richd Williams 26 Brother
George Williams 21 Brother
Peter Williams 16 Brother
James H Williams 6 Brother
he says his father is Henry when he marries

Richard, Jane and James are together in 1871 - Jane unmarried sister, James is "son"

I think Henry was the name of Jane's father
