I have the following information, on the Blenkinsopp family,
But the wife in the information doesn’t seem to concur. Eva De Boultby shows as being married 3 times but not to Randulph Blenkinsopp.
“Randolph De Blenkinsopp 2nd was born 1200s
During the reign of king Henry 2nd.
He married “Eva De Boltby” the daughter of Nicholas de Bolteby.
They had a son Thomas De Blenkinsopp in1230s.
A parcel of land was awarded to the Blenkinsopp clan leader Ranulph de Blenkinsopp 2nd by Nicholas de Bolteby (father of Eva) in 1240.
On behalf of King Henry 3rd. as a reward for his military commitment, loyalty and devotion to the English crown and country”
Any one hot any ideas to help me please.?

Does anyone know if there are any records that are searchable from 1240s where the king gave out these gifts to his subjects for their achievements to king and country.

You could try Chancery Rolls, especially Close Rolls, Fine Rolls, and Patent Rolls. These go back to the early 1200s. Also Inquisitions Post Mortem might help.

Eva De Boultby, also known as Eva (Bolteby) de Walkingham, married three times: Alan de Walkingham, Richard Knoute, and William de Cantalou. She died after 1312.
This is I asume is the same thing you found?

Here's a record from the Book of fees, 1242-43: Ranulphus de Blenkineshop, holds Blenkineshop of Nicholas de Bolteby for half a mark.

Dear hepburn
Thank you for your reply.
Yes that was the information I found.
These Blenkinsopps are a lovely clan, I love them dearly, but a nightmare to Research, too many in a confined area of the north of the uk.
I have got back to my 5 times great grandmother Elizabeth Blenkinsopp who married my 5 times great grandad Anthony Leaton and made a new clan of Blenkinsopp-Leaton, (my mother’s name.)
Am now trying to connect into the Blenkinsopp main clan.
Thank you again regards Jenny
