Title: Coyle
Post by: Smukke on Friday 02 May 25 16:56 BST (UK)
Alice Carter B 1899 Darwen,England

Alice emmigrated to Canada in 1929, she married an Irish man John Coyle in 1938 in Hamilton, Canada. They had one stillborn child Charles Bernard Coyle b 1939, Hamilton Canada.

I can find no death cert or grave for any of the above, I believe Alice lived at least until the 1960,s
due to some voting lists but I may be wrong.

Please can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance.

Tina

Was John Coyle married previously..............or is this another family ????

This one could be Alice ? - she was alive in 1972 according to Canada Voters Lists.

Thank you so much Sandra, I do not have the newspapers part of Ancestry but I will look into wether the husband was married before as the article could very well be her !  Did you by any chance find an article with John Coyle, I figure he must have died late seventies to early eighties.

Regards

Borden's Dairy had a branch in Hamilton, Ontario, which was acquired by the Hamilton Dairy Company in 1930. Borden's later absorbed the Hamilton Dairy Company's operations. Borden's Canadian operations, including the Hamilton branch, were eventually sold to Silverwood Dairy in 1980

Hi,

Borden's Dairy brings back memories when I was very young. My parents used Borden's Condensed
Milk in their tea/coffee. There was Elsie the Cow as a logo, she was super popular.
Her husband was Elmer.  ;D

Hi Smukke,

It might be worth an email to Hamilton Cemetery to ask if John and Alice are buried together and see what details they might have for the couple.   You could also make an entry on FIND A GRAVE and then select request a photograph, hopefully a volunteer will pop up and help you.

Good Luck
