Does anyone know where New Building was this is the address several of my ancestors, Around 1784 Samuel simes chidren were baptised one address New Building another Mr Browns New Building. I think they probably in St Mary's Parish.

There are a number of newspaper items around this time that refer to New Buildings, Nottingham. A couple say "St Ann's Street, New Buildings, Nottingham"
eg an advertisement for Schweitzer's Restorative Nervous and Rheumatic Balsalm:

St Ann's is a large area in Nottingham.

The main road is now St Ann's Well Road, I wonder if that was St Ann's Street?

Could be, there are a number of streets with saints names close by, only St Marks street still exists, but I had a feeling that area was Victorian.

Thank you all for your replies. They have helped me look in a new direction. I have started looking at the history of when streets started  or buildings were built St Anne's street is certainly a possibility as possibly the first building was in the 1750's
