Title: Mass Observation Day 2026
Post by: Jackiemh on Monday 28 April 25 03:15 BST (UK)
I would like to know just where time goes. Seems like Easter was yesterday, and Christmas a month before that!
Back to the subject.
Mass Observation Day is Monday 12 May and it is not a chore to keep a diary for that day. By submitting it to the relevant address, it would help build up a picture of everyday lives.
So, flex those fingers in readiness.

Less than a week to go.
I start to think about what I will include in this year's submission about this time - references to past and future events which are relevant.

I have started to make my notes for today; making a rough timeline and notes as the day happens. Then I will work from that to prepare my diary for the day, not forgetting the copyright clause.

Mine would be too boring to submit.

Sent mine off yesterday.
You would not call my day exciting but they are interested in what people did on a certain day; doesn't matter if we consider it boring.

I don't think they are intended to be so exciting, rather a true account of a "real" day. However, I do know of one person who organised lots of interesting things to do and happen, for the Mass Observation Day. When I mentioned that really that was not the point, I think she changed her mind about submitting her account!
