Hi
Does anyone know anything about Thane Castle in Carlow or the Hon. W.B.Harvey who seemed to have been living there in 1839?
Thanks, Charley

Where exactly in Co Carlow was Thane castle? ???

@Charlie Bucket, what source have you found mention of the person and the castle in? Any idea of what names the initials represent?

I have attached the marriage notice in the Durham County Advertiser Friday 22 Feb 1839 which appears to read "Thane Castle, Carlow".
-
Do you have any other research details on this couple that you can share?
Struggling to find a corresponding marriage in Bath in timescale.
There was an 80yr old Mrs Miller, widow of Ingleby Miller, died at Shincliffe in 1842. If Ann's mum, then perhaps indicating Ann married later in life. Ann was possibly the one born 1799 to Ingleby Miller and Elizabeth Clark (to help gauge an approximate age for the W B Harvey too).

I couldn't find the marriage either. :-\
I wondered if this could be Ann with mother Elizabeth in 1841 living in Shincliffe, Durham tying in with the Ingleby Miller with wife Elizabeth that Scotsmum found ??
Elizabeth Miller 75 Ind
Mary Miller 50 Ind
Elizabeth Miller 45 Ind
Ann Miller 40 Ind

Marriage was supposed to take place in 1839 so perhaps she's not the Ann Miller with mother Elizabeth in 1841 census.
-
Ingleby Miller and his wife Elizabeth had ten children and Ann was their youngest daughter, born in 1799. I had assumed that she never married (reminder to myself: with genealogy never assume.)
So she would have been around 40 when she married the mysterious Hon W B Harvey from a mysterious castle. I also have not been able to find the record of this marriage. Could it have been registered in Ireland?
Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Civil registration of marriages in Ireland started in 1864 for Catholic marriages and 1845 for non-Catholic marriages.
I also failed to find the marriage in England and that along with this mysterious castle makes me wonder if a marriage actually took place.
