Title: Latin not at end of baptismal cert
Post by: Shaztoni on Friday 18 April 25 16:57 BST (UK)
There is note in Latin I've not seen before after this baptismal entry. Something about the parents, magi? something?

Anyone come across this before or know what it is?

I think people are going to want to see more of the page so they can compare the letters in the screenshot with other letters on the page. Even better, post a link to the image on line and/or the names and dates of the baptism so people can see it themselves.

I think it is parentis vagi suent.
The parents were wandering? Possibly transients, or just not of that parish.

As dublin1850 says.
The Latin is Parentes Vagi Sunt (= 'the parents are wanderers/vagrants'). It may imply that the family was not settled in the parish.

Thank you both! That would make sense
