I am looking for any information on Isaac Corbett's children. Isaac was born in 1847 in Wrens Nest, Staffordshire. He married Julia Smith in 1872 in Stafforshire. The known children that I have for this couple are Allen b. 1870. I have no further information on him. Next is Abraham b. 1874. He married Florence Tombs. Next is Richard b. 1881, my great grandfather. He married Edith Rachel Mould. Next is Thomas b. 1884. He married Phoebe Ellen Hughes. Next is Emma b. 1887. I have no further info for her. Last but not least is Henry Corbett. I don't have any info on him. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat
Allen Corbett's birth registration shows his mothers maiden name as Short - not Smith
1871 census shows Isaac's wife as Eliza. Eliza died September qtr 1872 aged 23 & Isaac didn't waste time - he married Julia in the December qtr 1872
Eliza & Isaac were married in 1868 - transcription shows his surnames as Corbitt on www.freebmd.org.uk

Julia 49 wife b Dudley
Isaac 23 son b Tipton bricklayers labourer
Sarah A 20 dau b Tipton
Thomas 17 son b Tipton general labourer
Daniel 15 son b Tipton groom

Arthur 10 son b Tipton
Julia 8 dau b Tipton
Laura 4 dau b Tipton
Isaac Arthur and Laura are still living at home in 1911 and there is a grandson Victor Stanley Clewes b Dudley there as well so one of the girls married someone by the name of Clewes. I cant see a Henry at all on any of the census (Just realised this is Henry Allen Corbett from his first marriage)
I see that Isaac died in Birmingham in 1915 so it could be some of the family moved over there

Thank you all for the information. My great grandfathter was Richard Corbett b. Feb. 6, 1881 in Tipton. He married Edith Rachel Mould and had my grandmother Mabel Edith Corbett in Jan. 16, 1907 in Staffordshire. Sometime in the 19 teens, Rachel came across to Ontario Canada with probably one son with her. Over time the children left England and joined her in Canada and slipped across the border into Boston, MA. and that is how the family information got lost. I have done DNA testing and I have a 2nd cousin twice removed that was put up for adoption. Her birth last name was Corbett and I am trying to help her find the name of her birth mother. Her birth mother was a Corbett. This 2nd cousin was born approximately in 1984 in Telford. She and I would probably be related through my 3rd great grandparents which would be Richard Corbett b. 1814 in Worcestshire. His wife was Emma Shepherd. I only know about 2 of the children were Isaac b. 1847 in Wrens Nest & Charlotte b. 1851. I would like to know if there was any other children from this marriage. Thanks!
