There is a long newspaper article, 25 March 1949: Porthcawl Guardian, which begins as follows:
PORT TALBOT SOROPTIMIST CLUB CHARTER PRESENTATION
Women United in Ideals of Service and Friendship
Miss Holloway BA National President of the Soroptimist Clubs of Great Britain and Ireland travelled specially from Ireland to present the charter to Mrs. Pugh-Bevan, the first president of the Port Talbot Club.
There are other names included in the article, but no mention of anyone named Jones.

The Port TAlbot branch was formed in 1948. It might be worth checking for the two Joneses around then.

I think it could be Ivy Jones the capitals are slightly different and the O in 'Joy' looks like a V.

I agree with Ivy :)

Definitely Ivy: compare the I of International and the J of Jones: the latter has a loop.

Porthcawl Guardian, July 22 1960
A report of a South Wales contingent attending the International Convention in London. There is a photo of the Port Talbot Soroptimists (impossibly dark so no point in posting) and the caption includes Miss Hilda Jones, Port Talbot. No sign of Ivy, but there is a Miss Evelyn Jones.

Soroptimists give childrens party
...
They were greeted by the Club's president, Miss Hilda Jones.

I’ve redacted names of anyone who isn’t stated to be dead, just in case.
