Title: Cathrine Culbert
Post by: matty on Friday 11 April 25 11:48 BST (UK)
I am searching for Catherine Culbert born in Ireland possibly County Donegal.  She would be born around  1776.  I have found her on the Culbert one name site but no information on her parents or marriage.

Catherine was named as the Mother of Andrew McNutt in Dunfanahagy Prestbyterian Church.

Thank you

Named in what respect? if her name appears in a baptism for a son Andrew baptised 1796 then she could be quite a bit older than 'around 1776.'

Thank you for the replies.  This is where I have the information on Catherine Culbert, I have details of her son Andrew’s Marriage where again her name is on as is the name of the Father William McNutt.
I am searching now either for a marriage of Catherine to William McNutt or a birth for Catherine Culbert.

I appreciate your help thank you all

What you posted in reply #4 doesn't constitute any sort of proof as no sources are given. Id=s that your work or someone else's that you found somewhere online?
Do you have a baptism for Andrew McNutt? if his mother, or indeed father, shown?

It's quite unusual to find so much detail in Presbyterian registers for this time period. I see that Dunfanaghy Presbyterian baptisms and marriages both start 1830- have you searched for other records of the family there?

Years ago we shared the cost of a research from Donegal Ancestry.  So all my information comes from there and the Culbert on name study.  So I trust that the Donegal Ancestry is correct information.  It ties in with the William who settled in Lancashire and to our family.
