The well know explorer of Hawaii, Robert Cyril Layton Perkins (1866-1955), born on 15 November 1866, died on 29 September 1955, aged 88 in Bovey Tracey. However, me and others searched, but we drew a blank if there is a still existing grave from him. I will travel from The Netherlands to the UK in June and I would like to visit his grave if possible. Any help is very welcome.

Have you checked for an obituary notice
If nothing can be found you may want to consider contacting the Devon FHS society. Given he was so well known they may be able to help
-
Can't find so far nothing, also people who did research before me, could not find anything. But I might be not so trained as the people here.

Just added a bit to my reply above before I saw your reply

Thanks Carole, I will do so (will contact them).

Have you established where his wife Clara was buried
She left a will which could give that information. Do you have R.C.L.P’s will
-
Dear Rosie, I have not found the spot where his wife is buried, nor do I have the will. How could I obtain this?

https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate
You can download a copy for £1.50 but put 1956 as his year of death for tracing purposes

Lengthy obit. in The Times, 5 Oct 1955 - no mention of resting place.
No mention of resting place under "Who's Who" - address given as "Wotton, Newton Road, Bovey Tracey".
-
Trying to get the will, but still not succesful.
Also notable, at this moment I can't find at house with the name Wotton, at Bovey Tracey at the Newton Rd. So it must be renamed.

Clara was buried in the churchyard at Highweek

Then this would be a good contender for Robert to be buried... Thanks ShaunJ

Clara's obit that ShaunJ has posted mentions a stepson Richard Perkins (he was born abroad).
A sibling for that Richard

Does any-one confirm that Mrs. Clara Marian Jessy Perkins is buried at the cemetery Highweek with Robert Perkins alongside?

Torquay Times & South Devon Advertiser, 20 May 1949

Rest of funeral notice -

Ah, so Robert could be buried at the Lydford graveyard?
-
It's the same funeral report that I linked to on 10 April.

Indeed, but trying to get the puzzle closed, but seem to fail....
