Born 12th June 1899 Parents John Leary & Anne Hallahan. Family on 1911 Census 2 Boyle St DED Bandon Town Cork. I cannot locate any marriage for Jeremiahs parents? Thank you

Perhaps this marriage but John O’Leary is a Clerk&
I had seen this marriage but discounted it as Brides name given as Hanora Hallahan & on childrens births it states Anne & also Census her name is recorded as Anne Leary. Im not aware of the connection between the names of Hanora & Anne so a bit confusing. Thank you

I think they can be used interchangeably. Often Hanora/Honora is shortened to ‘Nora’ but I have seen Ann/Annie and Hanora.
The ‘clerk’ seems unusual,though.

Father John Leary a labourer. Mother Hanora Leary formerly Hallahane.

Thank you I agree Clerk is unusual but I have seen records where people give different occupations other than their correct one
