I'm looking for the father of Mary Place born in 1802 in Yorkshire.
She married Thomas Roebuck on the 10th of June 1829 at st peter, Leeds.
-
1851 shows birthplace as Mufield but could be Mirfield & birthyear 1804
1861 shows 1803 Mirfield
1881 - 1803 Leeds
-
Is there no mention of her father on their marriage certificate or a census maybe?
-
Marriage was ore- civil registration so fathers names were not shown
-
No fathers name would be mentioned on a census record unless they happened to be living in the same household at the time.
Best chance really is finding a baptism record that fits her name, birthplace and age.
-
Leeds General Cemetery registers give birthplace and parents names, for Mary Roebuck in 1881 it says born Mirfield, but parents just given as "Place"

-
More from above
Name Mary Place
Birth Date 1 Nov 1802
Father's Name Joseph Place
Mother's Name Mary Brooke
Event Type Christening
Event Date 12 Dec 1802
Event Place Batley, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom
-
Strange that someone from Batley should say they were born in Mirfield.
Looking at the image of the PR of the baptism in Mirfield of the Mary mentioned previously, the surname (of mother Hannah) is spelt Ritchardson, as per ancestry transcription.
The record on FamilySearch came from the BT.
