His obituary said he was buried at Great Orme cemetery but I cannot find anything on Findagrave. As he was a prominent member of Llandudno society, I expected a gravestone.
Anyone familiar with this cemetery?

A tree on Ancestry shows his date of death as 25.3.1952. Perhaps the tree owner could help with info re grave location.
Have you contacted the cemetary as having the date of death could help them locate a grave & tell you if there is a headstone

I have been to this cemetery and it’s very large.
Have you established that all the memorials there are recorded on findagrave?

The cemetery on The Great Orme belongs to St Tudno's Church. The church is only used for services occasionally I think, mainly in the summer. It is a large grave yard. I live in Penrhyn Bay. We are going on holiday for a couple of weeks but I'm happy to have a look around the churchyard when we get back to see if I can find anything.

JenB, good point. Only 74% of the memorials are photographed = 968.

I think I'll check with the cemetery, if I can find a contact person.

I'll have a look around and get back to you. I see the probate mentions Penrhyn Isaf Road. It is only a few minutes walk from where we live :)

Gwynedd Family History Society have recorded all the available headstones at St. Tudno https://www.chtgwyneddfhs.cymru/src/resources/rhestr-cyhoeddiadau-tachwedd-2024-november-publications-list-1.pdf

If you are still looking for this grave perhaps contact the Conwy Archive as they have a list of burials in Llandudno. I have had a look & found Howel's parents grave at the St Tudno graveyard but Howel isn't registered in that grave. Hugh, Howel's father died 26/3/1939 & mother Jane 28/5/1942 there is a photograph of their grave & headstone on Billion Graves site. There is a second graveyard called Great Orme Cemetery adjacent to St Tudno, but I can't find him there either. Hugh & Jane lived at Bryn Alyn, Abbey Road, Llandudno.

Thanks for that info Ellenmai. I did promise Gen List Lass I would go to the cemetery and look around. I haven't managed to get there yet but I will go as soon as I get chance

Chrissie L,
Dont worry about going to the graveyard and looking for the grave. The relation who I was getting this info for has given me two email addresses neither of which work, so I've given up on her. The Howel Edwards connection wasn't on my side of her tree anyway.
Thank you for your interest though, it was kind

No problem Gen. St Tudno's is a pretty little church in a stunning location, often visited by holiday makers because of its position on The Great Orme. Actually, the nearest cemetery to Penrhyn Bay is the church at Rhos on Sea.
