Afternoon,
I'm trying to help a friend trace his tree but am at a bit of a brick wall.
Daniel Gilbey born 1880 is in the 1939 register, he married in the 1930's to Annie Hope in Hull, but apart from the marriage index and the 1939 register, i can't find him anywhere.
There is a Daniel A Gilbey born 1880 and he's the only plausible. i also can't find a death record for Daniel, not any mention in the local newspapers of him. could he be Daniel A Gilbey born 1880?
Many thanks in advance
Jason

What date of birth does he give on the 1939 register? For some reason, I am struggling to find his entry.

update ... i've just located military records that state he was born in 1900 in Hull not 1880, so a new line of enquiry
the 1939 register is easier to find him if you search Annie Gilbey and he is listed as husband, they've transcribed it as 17th August 1880 however it's actually 17th August 1900
