Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help
Arthur Frank Goldsmith Edwards was registered Dec quarter 1892 in St George Hanover Square, London 01a page 434 MMN of Harman
I am looking for his death and cannot find him on the 1901 census
His mother Rose Harman and father Frank Edwards have split up and she is now with Robert Luck
There is a "Family Rumor" That he fell down a cutting or siding on the railway and died later with a swelling on the brain. I am unsure if this is true but if I could find his death certificate it might have something on it.
thank you for any help

Have you had a look for his name in newspaper reports?
If he did suffer a tragic accident and died it was likely to have been reported.
-
could you suggest a site, I've not needed to search newspapers so far, any help would be good
-
British newspapers archive or Find my Past website you can search for articles.
Are these his parents in 1891?
Frank Edwards 29
Rose wife 28
Prince son 3
William Hernan father in law 71
William Herman brother in law 32
-
yes, Prince in my Great Grandfather
I will try the site later and see what I can find
thank you

Rose and Frank weren't married were they? I can't see a marriage for them.
So Levi P Luck 13 in 1901 is the 3 year old Prince Edwards from 1891.
Good luck in the search.
-
no they were not married, though Rose chose to be a widow on the marriage to Robert luck.
She had a child in 1891 with frank Edwards but the child was not named and registered dead the same quarter, I'm waiting on the death cert. But I am trying to find the death of Arthur, I hoped the Goldsmith would make it easier to find what happened to him
Thanks for your help

I'm waiting on the death cert
There really is no need to get a paper certificate. For less than the price you could have got instant digital images from the GRO of the birth and death registrations, at £3 each, plus the birth of Arthur Frank Goldsmith Edwards as well.

I did not realise that, I've already ordered it now
I will look at that for next time, or when I track down Arthur Frank Goldsmith Edwards death
Thank you

You mentioned on an earlier post that you had found the death of Arthur in Paddington RD in 1897, presumably this entry, did you eliminate it :-\
Death March qtr 1897
Edwards Arthur age 4 Paddington RD 1a 11

I'm now unsure as it does not have his full name, I don't know when they made that law. I am trying to prove / disprove the family rumour and I've never searched for newspapers, I hope to have time tomorrow evening to start looking
a lot of these clues are from family stories, and we all know how those go

Do let us know if you find anything.
