Title: The Great London Flood of 1928

In January 1928 The River Thames flooded claiming the lives of 14 Londoners including four sisters from one family.

Thanks for this blog chiddicks :)! I've started to read through, very interesting! I had heard of it, I think it also affected other parts of the Thames into Essex and Kent?

My great, great grandparents were 67 and 64 in January 1928 and lived in Camden in North London so probably were not affected by the actual flood, but would have known all about it and remembered it. I descend from a daughter who moved up north to Co Durham in 1919.

Yes they certainly would have known about it, it made national headlines at the time.
