Title: Odd cause of death - ideas?

Posting here because the death was Belfast.

I've just found a relative who sadly died (in 1906) just one month old seemingly of Catarrhal Entiritis - see image attached. I was intrigued, so I searched and can find details of only ferret illnesses.

Perhaps I'm reading that wrongly?

Any thoughts?

Thank you. Difficult to read (for the sufferer) and difficult to understand too.
