hoping someone can help me
i am trying to find when Lillian arrived in SA,
i know she was born c1885 England. parents Ellen Rebecca carpenter and James Adams.
she first married Leonard Rodda July 1906 Moonta SA, then married Richard gilbert aug 1911 moonta sa.
she died 15 july 1918 Broken hill NSW

Her mother was previously married to Charles Gahargan

If she is the Fulham Lillian she was with her parents in 1901 but not on the next census

Do you have her death certificate from NSW? If so can you please list all that information. If not you should purchase a copy.
If the "Ellen Rebecca carpenter and James Adams." information comes from finding a birth in England, that seems to match, and not from a record in Australia, be very careful that you don't end up chasing a red herring.
The Lilian A found in London I think was still around there as a servant in 1911.

Both of Lillian's marriages give her father's name as James ADAMS.

i dont recall where i got her parents names from, i have NSW death transcript, but beleive the parents info is incorrect, the informat on death certificate was not related

What is her mother's maiden surname on the death cert?
I don't think that she was the daughter of James and Ellen nee CARPENTER. Lillian Annie married George KNIGHT in 1918 and in 1939 they have her sister Florence Mary ADAMS living with them in Willesden. Florence's date of birth given then matches the date on her baptism. In 1911 Florence was living with her parents in Kensington, and in 1921 with her widowed father in Kensington. The address is the same as Lillian's marriage cert.
I know that you are looking for an immigration record, but there are scenarios where she may have arrived under a different name so you need to first establish who she actually was.

it appears i am chasing the wrong lillian Adams, i know the marriages are correct and the death, but appears the birth and parents are wrong

Even though you believe the information on the death certificate is wrong could you please tell us what it says about her parents.

on death certificate states father Edward Adams. occupation Teamster, mother Annie surname not stated.
died aged 34 born Adelaide, SA, aged at first marriage 20 (1906 moonta), age at second marriage 27 (1911 moonta) . the informat was joseph Watters, no relation
