The 1911 GB Census confirms his occupation as "gardener".
He is recorded as "married 23 years", with son John Henry Cuer, 19, Hosiery Hand and daughters Florence 14, Minnie 11 and Rosa 8.
Wife not recorded as part of household.
-
The 1901 Census has him with wife Elizabeth, age 32 and a daughter Edith aged 6 (+ John Henry, Florence and Minnie).
His occupation is recorded as "Boot lifting chopping machine".
-
There's a report in the Hinckley Times, 16 Oct 1909 of an Elizabeth Cuer living apart from her husband John Cuer, Hinckley, labourer - he was summoned for common assault. She was living apart from 5 children.
Case dismissed.

Thank you for this information
You've answered alot of my questions
My dna results included Queensland Australia
Found out it was John William Cuer that ended up there hence wanting to find out more.
So it appears he went there on his own then
Strange
Wonder if he had more children when he was there?
-
Why not check here - at least up to 1925 (1 yr short!).

Married someone there

Electoral Roll information
1916, 1917
John William Cuer, John Henry Cuer, both occupations; labourer
John Henry at Albion Hotel, Aramac, John William only gives "Aramac" as his address
1919
John William Cuer, John Henry Cuer, both occupations; labourer
both at Albion Hotel, Aramac
1921, both just give "Aramac' as place of residence - both labourers
1925
John Henry at Aramac -not seeing John William
John Henry has another entry in 1925 at Moorlands, Queensland (Not unusual two have two entries if a person moved and hadn't been struck off the first roll)
Hanes Telu gives the son's arrival as:
J H Cuer, age 20, Farm Labourer, sailed 21 Dec 1912 from London aboard the Limerick.
Seems that the son arrived first as there's this arrival for John William:
Ship: Marathon, departed London 4 Dec, 1913, bound for Brisbane
Mr John Cuer, market gardener, aged 54; ticketed to Brisbane
The Marathon arrived in Brisbane 26 January 1914

Annie is a tailoress and single. Born Leic.
Later she is seen at home with a number of unmarried siblings. Mary Ann is now household head .
The outward passenger list for her voyage gives no more additional information other than to confirm her last address. 8 Rugby Street Woodgate Leics.

Thanks everyone.
So as yet no offspring of John Henry and Annie found.
If they had children they may not have gone back to UK. Possibly married n remained in Australia?
The Cuers are only family with Queensland connections so far.
My dna results give Victoria.NSW and Queensland as having dna connections with me
I know who the Victoria family are
There is another branch of my family I have to look into yet tho.

As shown, they married in 1929 and departed Australia in 1935.
Unlikely to leave behind children who would be under the age of 6 years.

Ah!
So could be Minnie is my Queensland dna connection then!
Mystery solved.
Thank you everyone who helped me.
Regards Lorraine
-
That is one possibility but I have not been able to see any children to the couple.
Others may search with better luck. ;D
So you have no known chn to John H CUER and Annie
A lot of children to Edith Adelaide (nee CUER )but she seemed never to leave England.
Rosa CUER who was penitent (possibly an unmarried pregnancy being the reason).
That leaves as one of the possibilities, illegitimate children to either John snr of John jnr
