Title: Shaw Wedding photo - to be dated. South Shields Unknow People
Post by: Grotto77 on Sunday 02 March 25 09:18 GMT (UK)
Hi, can anyone date this photo.  Some folk think the wedding dress and her hair style is from 1920/30s and others think the groom is wearing the uniform of First Mate/Chief Officer in the Merchant Navy that could be from the 60s onwards! I have also posted the back of photo as it may help. Is the 11 1/2 9 1/2 RBK MT the size of mount board, photo? Could the 3 1/2 (6) be 6 copies of 3 1/2 photos?  The photo and the bride's wedding dress with some other items have been found in a loft and our aim is to return these items to the family/descendants.  Thank you.

Not a date but a tad easier to see perhaps. For a guess late 1940's
