Title: Donnelly family of Rugby
Post by: JHynd on Saturday 01 March 25 21:40 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I’m looking for my auntie and uncle’s final resting place. They were Catholics.

Their names were;

Mary Veronica Donnelly passed away on 6 June 1981.

Joseph John Donnelly who passed away on 4 May 1984.

Both died at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby, and their usual residence was 32 Anderson Avenue, Rugby.

I emailed bereavement services late last year and haven’t heard back.

Could they have been cremated?

Could they have been cremated?

Couldn’t say. They buried their children while they lived up here in Glasgow. One in the local cemetery and the other in the Catholic cemetery.

Could there be funeral notices in a local newspaper that would give details?

As you have their exact death dates - you could try ringing the local records office to see if they can help

The bereavement services has gotten back to me this morning. They’re not buried in Rugby, and I’ve been advised to check with the crematoriums in the surrounding areas.

I’ve heard back from Coventry bereavement services. They were cremated and scattered at Canley Crematorium.
