Hello From Hobart Tasmania Australia
35 plus years ago I engaged a Genealogist to find the parents of my Convict Richard John Cordwell. At the time the information couldn't be found. Richard John Cordwell was born around 1804. His transport/convict records from memory state he was born Fulham/Middlesex. There are trees stating his parents are Henry Cordwell and Martha Chandler/Dell. I would love some proof.
Thank you
Tim Cordwell

I can see records for a Richard Cordwell (no middle name) in 1824, was that him - He committed Highway Robbery
ADDED - another record has that he was a Gardener and born Fulham

FindMyPast prison records
A Richard Cordwell was found NOT Guilty in Oct 1823 of assault - occupation gardener. His Place of Birth given as "Parson's Green" - which is Fulham.

Thank you that is my 4th great grandfather Richard

His death cert shows "Denomination Catholic". This is a list of Catholic baptisms for the Hammersmith area and I spotted a couple for Parson's Green. The records for 1799 start around page 76. Had a quick shifty - you may wish to browse at leisure.

I was going to attach a snippet from the Morning Advertiser, 6 Jun 1810 which mentions a "Cordwell" tenant at will of 4 properties in Parson's Green Lane.
