Title: Robert Saywell - Wellingore

Hi all,

   I have hit a brickwall with Robert Saywell, baptised in Wellingore in 1696.

   His parents are listed as Robert and Alice, but I cannot find a marriage for them.

    Several trees on Ancestry.co.uk list Robert's mother as Elizabeth Haycock (1671 - 1731) but with no sources attached, and obviously the baptism lists Robert's mother as Alice...

    Any pointers?

Children bapt to ROBERT/ALICE Wellingore
Robert 1696/William 1699/Morris and Alice 1701
Williams bapt has Father Robert as a Farmer
Alice likely buried 1704, infant

+ Burial of a Robert S 02 Sep 1709 no age given
Cant see Marriage or burial or remarriage for Alice

Going back that far is pretty amazing and records become thin on the ground.

There are a few burials 1676/1692 + a possible bapt for Robert 1662, Father Robert
(poss Parents as Robert/Ann-An)
