I've recently been looking at an old map I have of Belfast and it shows the area off Crumlin Road (Yarrow Street, Everton Street for example) that I remember visiting my Grannies and relations back in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
The map doesn't have a date on it (curious that) but I did a web search of the ISBN and it says it was published in 1983. (ISBN: 0 08 200290 0)
So I'm wondering - does anyone know when that area was all knocked down and redeveloped? My paternal grand parents moved to Rathcoole in the early 1960's so it may have been around then.
The suggested map date of 1983 - still showing those street names, seems too recent. (Unless I'm looking at a map of the redeveloped site).
Thanks.

Hi Leon47,
Try searching on Proni Historical Maps, check the tool bar for layers
same places but different years. More help on the left.
You can even do a split screen which gives you old and new.
Best regards, Billy.
