Title: Incorrigible thieves
Post by: sylvia on Tuesday 25 February 25 04:50 GMT (UK)
Hello folks, long time no see.
I have recently found four of my Ancestor's,all brothers from John Edwards and Jane hand family of Wolverhampton Staffordshire. Frederick and Henry Edwards were both transported to Australia for life.
Then the other two brothers Solomon and John both children of 11 and 13,they were on board the hulk ship Euryalus where it seems Solomon Died between 1828 and 1831.I don't know if John and Solomon were transported but at the moment I am interested in the death of Solomon and where he is buried. Australia or England.
I would appreciate any help at all.
Thanks Sylvia Ch

On Ancestry, in a public member photo, there is a letter from William PEEL, Whitehall to the Rev J CLARE, Deanery, Wolverhampton stating that Solomon EDWARDS, who had been sentenced to transportation at Stafford sessions "some time since" died in April 1829.

It appears to be from the "Domestic Letter Books" that are held at the National Archives, not sure of the source.   :-\ I can't seem to find a digitised copy online.

You may have already seen this:

The letter is here

I think you could purchase it with a “micropayment” instead of taking out a sub to FindMyPast.
