Title: Latin note included in marriage record

Hey everyone

I found a marriage record in Kilbroney parish, County Down, Ireland on 22nd October 1822. It's written in English and states that Roger Caulfield was married to Elizabeth O'H... in presence of Peter Caulfield and (? ?).
Written in the margin is an extra note in Latin which I can't make out.
Could anybody help me with this?
Could it possibly refer to the fact that the couple had had many children before getting married?

I don't think that it is Latin. I think that it says a second person's name. C....... E........

The Latin note in the margin reads:

qui antea clandestine con
-juncti fuerunt

= ‘who previously were secretly united’

A glance at the full register-page shows that 20 is the day (20 October).

I think the second witness is Cillan [or Cillian?] Caulfield.

Thanks so much, that makes a lot of sense!
I stumbled upon this couple, who later moved to Liverpool, as my ancestor made the same journey from Kilbroney parish to Liverpool and had the same job (stone mason) and surname as Roger!

You had me scratching my head for a second there! I was beginning to lose faith in my ability to recognise my own language!  ;D

Elizabeth O'H... might be O'Hare. That's my first guess from the image and knowledge of the parish. My grandfather's family was from that parish and I've looked at a few other families from there also.

Thanks! I've seen what definitely looks like O'Hare in some of their children's baptismal records.
