I am trying to trace when HardYment became HardIment amd the connections between Hardyment the China Shop in St Peters Street, Norwich and the Scrutton family who later owned it.
AF Hardyment was Archibald Frost Hardyment the sone of Jabez but the shop was owned by George Herbert Scrutton.
Two HardIment sisters Alice Ellen and Lucy Maud married two Scrutton brothers - Stanislaus and Leonard Aloysius

The Norfolk Ancestor dated June 2018 has an article about Jabez Hardyment
Just do a google search.
