Title: Headstone help Hastings
Post by: Leashl on Saturday 15 February 25 17:07 GMT (UK)
I have a headstone transcription:

Hastings   St.Clement
   burial record
   HUTCHINSON   Susanna   2 Feb 1703   w Thomas, s Richard

I'm looking for the Thomas.....does it mean with Thomas or wife of Thomas. I'm looking for a living Thomas in the area born 1680 to 1712. Thanks.

He married Sarah Browne fron Dicker in Arlington in 1731. He is "sojourner" and lived in Hooe.

So it's the burial of two people, Richard Hutchinson's wife and son.

Thank you. Any signs of another Thomas born around the same time. I thought I had found him in Rotherfield but the Will of his father Richard left estate to Thomas' son Richard, (not to Thomas) and I have no relative, unless he married before?
