I wonder if anyone could take a look at this for me?
At the household of William Brookes(52), Gailey Staffs in 1851 there are two young men who work as miners, George Emery(20) and Edward Watton(22), the former being Brookes' nephew. I'd like to find them before and after 1851 but have had no success other than finding Emery's family at Bloxwich in 1841 (his father was an ironstone miner). I found a miner by the name of George Emery at Brereton some years later who married a publican but the age and place of birth don't match.
Any help appreciated!
Paul

Not sure if you have this info already.
George EMORY born 24th Sept 1831, baptised 23rd October 1831, Cawthorne, parents William and Harriott-fathers occupation Coal Miner. Image of baptism on FindMyPast
You say you have found George Emery in 1841. Also in that household is an Edward Lindley born c1826. He is the illegitimate son of Harriott born 4th December 1825, baptised 5th February 1826 in Cawthorne, Lancs. Image of baptism on FindMyPast.
Believe there is a bad marriage image/transcription dated 8th September 1828 Barnsley, William Hemene (Hemery/Emery) to Harriott Lindley.
1841 census also records the below
EMERY, WILLIAM mmn LINDLEY
GRO Reference: 1840 M Quarter in THE WALSALL UNION Volume 17 Page 25
--------------------------------
Probable death of George
EMERY, GEORGE aged 24
GRO Reference: 1855 D Quarter in WALSALL Volume 06B Page 287
-------------------------------------
With regard to Edward Watton I think you will find he is on close inspection Edward WALTON

Thanks for taking a look but I don't think that's the fellow.

Excellent finds, thank you very much! The pair aren't related to me in any way, they're peripheral to some research I'm doing and this will surely help - thank you.
