Title: 1320 Deed translation
Post by: mcmp on Thursday 06 February 25 12:26 GMT (UK)
In the following, from Wm Salt Library, Stafford, c1320.
I am unclear regarding the meaning of the bold words in the following:
Vivianus dominus de Standon Miles dmo Joh de Hawkeston
militi quern habeo in feudo de Onley test Jacob Pype

Help appreciated.

See here, footnote 6:

Pype was a witness to the deed.

Thanks Bookbox - just a simple typo in the transcript, (ie: quem not quern). Not sure where I got it from! Didn't think to look in "Internet Archive".

Thanks.
