Trying to find some information about a Sean Nolan the son of Margaret Bennett and John Nolan (married May 1919) He had a sister called Honor born 1923 but I cannot find any specific details about Sean.
-
Did he survive to adulthood?
Do you know if he stayed in Dublin?
I see a published tree shows a death for John Nolan in 1927. I haven’t found it yet but it would give you a time period..
Margaret remarried in 1930

As far as I know he did. He is mentioned in court documents in Dublin Supreme court in the 1940s and i think he might have been in England with his mother Margaret Frost (nee Bennett) during and after ww2.

hi heywood, Margaret remarried 1930, a minor point I know,

Thanks ss. I have amended my post.
I wonder if there is any more information to identify Sean in the court records.
-
Hi
Have you identified when John Nolan died and the cause of death. He wasn’t long married, so would have been young.
Regards
-
He died july 1927. ta.

Looking at a published tree and checking records,
Honor died in Dublin 1943.
Charles Frost died 1945, Dublin.
They were hospital deaths so no next of kin shown though and different addresses.
The tree shows a death for Margaret Frost in 1985, Middlesex.
I haven’t been able to check that. Did she marry again?
I can’t see a birth for Sean Nolan 1923-1927 but he may have been registered as John.
Was Sean known by half siblings or mentioned in an obituary?
-
A half sibling to my father who was a child from the second marriage. I know things about Honor etc but Sean is proving elusive.
-
That is why i am asking these things.
Do you know anything from his half siblings?
Did they meet him?
Was he living in Ireland ir England? If so where?

What were the court records about?
-
May I ask if the exact date of birth for Margaret Mary Nolan is known and when she passed away as Margaret Frost.

Her maiden name was Bennett. In my research i think she was born in 1900/1901 as in 1901 I think she was 1 month old. However, other family members completing research think she was born in 9th Jul 1896 Dublin North and she died in October 1962 Paddington, London.

There was a Margaret Bennett born 1901, see:-

Do you think this was her?

I thought it was possibly but location dosen't tie in or siblings to this margaret bennett.
-
Thank you for sharing that. It seems familiar unless someone posted a similar case a while ago.
That says that Sean was 19yrs at that time - the judgement date was 1st January 1948, so , presumably, Sean turned 19 yrs during 1947, giving a birth abt 1927/28.
-
That was my assumption but i cannot find any trace of him. I have tried John as an alternative but no luck so far. I think he would have been baptised at St Josephs Terenure as Honor was baptised at this church but online church records are not avaliable yet.

Have you tried contacting the church - sometimes they can be helpful.
