I am seeking the names and birthplaces of the parents of Francis Pulham born circa 1678, apparently in Harwich, Essex, and the surname of his spouse Mary.
-
What document leads you to believe he was born in Harwich?
Do you have a subscription to the Essex Record Office. It doesn't have to be a year, they offer day/week/month as well.
You will be able to view the original parish register.
-
There's a will of Francis Pulham of Harwich, 1765.

I can't read much without a subscription, but his wife's name was Susannah. This may be the son.

Cant see a Marriage for Francis to Mary at least in Harwich or Essex on FreeREG
You probably have this but Francis/Mary Bapt there;
FRANCIS 05 Apr 1702
JOHN 15 Mar 1705/6, buried 18 Jun 1706
Just posting what I have found in case you don't have it all.
Looks to me that FRANCIS Snr was buried 06 Feb 1705/6
The reason is on the Burial of Son John, Mother is a Widow.
Marriage St Andrew, Greenstead, Essex
13 Aug 1710
Mary PULHAM, Widow** of Harwich to William JEFFERIES of Harwich
Marriage St Mary, Woodbridge, Suffolk
21 Feb 1725/26
Francis PULHAM of Harwich* to Susanna SKINNER

Thanks - I don't have a document to verify that Francis Pulham who was buried in Harwich in 1706 was also born there. So it's something that I have inferred and likely should not have done. Two other of my relatives did some extensive research and did not find any conclusive information in this regard either. They did find records of Pulhams in Woodbridge, including at least one named Francis.
I will look into the Essex Record Office as a source.

Thank you. That aligns with what I and several of my relatives have found. You have given me a few more details, which is great.

Thanks - Yes, he would be my 6th great-grandfather according to my research.
